The Summer Olympics is an event which continually sees the inclusion – and exclusion – of new sports and events. Paris 2024 will introduce two new Olympic sports: breaking and kayak cross.

• Kayak Cross: This contact canoeing event involves jostling and racing through gates and obstacles, with paddlers required to complete specific manoeuvres before finishing.
